How to board MRT

In Singapore, people often use three modes of transport: bus, taxi and MRT. The Mass Rapid Transit system, locally known by the initials MRT, is the underground railway in Singapore and the main mode of transport in the island nation. I usually use the train to go to school, to meet my friends and to visit places. Boarding the MRT is so easy. Just touch the Ez-link card. Instead of the card, we can also use Apple Pay, Google Pay or Visa/Mastercard. The simple sign and the color of each line make it easy for first-time visitors. And there is one interesting rule: Don’t bring durian fruit.

MRTの乗り方

シンガポールではタクシーとバスとMRTの3つの交通機関がよく使われます。MRTはシンガポールの地下鉄で、Mass Rapid Transit systemの略。最も主要な鉄道移動手段です。僕も学校や友達に会いに行くとき、またどこかを訪れるときによく使います。乗り方はとても簡単で、Ez-linkカードというカードを改札にかざすだけです。そのカードの代わりにApple PayやGoogle Pay、VISA/MasterCardも利用できます。シンプルな表示と各路線のカラーリングもあって、初めて活用する人にとっても優しい交通機関だと思います。そして、「ドリアンを持ち込んではいけない」という興味深いルールが存在します。
